Our Beginnings

What lay ahead surprised me initially; I wasn’t one to think of myself as being creative. Then upon reflection, I remembered when I was growing up how much I loved assembling outfits, considering all the details, and having a large collection of costume jewelry.

Not long ago, I turned the page and began another chapter in my life. I went with my daughter to an introductory jewelry making class. Though the process wasn’t particularly difficult, given the excellent instruction, I found myself delighted with the results. I had created something that had my voice; something that I continue to wear often. Beyond this, I looked at that bracelet, and when comparing it to the costume jewelry that previously dominated my wardrobe, I noticed a much higher level of craftsmanship.

Together, my daughter and I crafted all summer - first for ourselves, and then for our friends and relatives. With the help of a very good friend from out of town, I soon had a display at my first artists fair. I found myself newly-energized to complete daily tasks and errands to give myself time to design and create jewelry. My husband said that I was the happiest he’d seen me in years. Plain and simple, I was hooked!

Our Mission

At Ivy Hollow Artisans, we delight in designing and handcrafting unique, elegant, high-quality jewelry that will add that special touch to any ensemble. All jewelry creations are made from start to finish in-house. Our mantra is to seek to change things up, to offer something slightly different than the rest, and to create wearable art that our customers will enjoy wearing again and again.

We are a small business, currently offering our jewelry at various fairs and shows. We also sell on-line, which starts with a simple email contact from you. Ivy Hollow Artisans is not a high-volume enterprise where transactions are processed by an outsourced warehouse: instead, we first exchange emails to ensure that each customer’s expectations are met, and then ship orders very soon thereafter. Even in this age of rapid, impersonal communication, we believe in taking the time needed to do things right.
